Do I need to create an account?

No. Hop in a game, share the link, and start playing. There are no accounts, emails, or logins.

Do I need special hardware?

Just a webcam. A top-down or over-the-shoulder angle with even lighting gives the best detection results.

Which decklist sources are supported?

Moxfield, Archidekt, and MTGGoldfish. Importing a list makes detection faster and more accurate, but is optional.

How is this different from SpellTable?

cardcast detects cards automatically as you play them, imports your decklist, seats up to 8 players, and needs no account. SpellTable identifies one card at a time when you click it, caps games at 4 players, and requires a Wizards login.
